Bipartisan Policy Center Report: Filling the Gaps in the Behavioral Health Workforce

The need for behavioral health care and the shortage of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists who provide care are both increasing. To address the gap, the Bipartisan Policy Center’s new report, Filling the Gaps in the Behavioral Health Workforce, recommends enlisting peer specialists, community health workers, and community members who can support the licensed workforce and in turn, ensure more Americans’ behavioral health needs are met.
