The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) recently updated several 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline resources. The new materials include a fact sheet that explains what the 988 hotline is, what callers can expect, and shares real stories from people who have used it. There’s also helpful information about how 988 is different from 911, so that individuals will know which service to reach out to in different situations.
