Supporting students’ physical health and mental well-being: Renton School District Health Fair serves more than 300

Nearly 300 middle and high school students throughout the Renton School District received free sports physicals and immunizations at the third annual Community Assist Health Fair. The event was held in partnership with Providence Swedish, Sounders FC and the Rave Foundation

Roger Dowdy, chief operating officer, Providence’s Well Being Trust, joined Providence Swedish, Renton School District, Sounders FC and the Rave Foundation at the event where families and students also had the opportunity to tour the Providence Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse and meet with various health care providers.

“We’re fulfilling our promise to deliver mental health services and provide a culture of wellness and resilience for all the students within the Renton School District,” Dowdy shared, highlighting Well Being Trust’s efforts in supporting RSD students and families by expanding access to mental health care and increasing access to resources that support student well-being including virtual mental health services that are available to all RSD students at no cost.

Providence’s Well Being Trust is honored to help drive this important work that advances the mental health and well-being of our youth.
