Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 10 a.m. EST, Benjamin F. Miller, PsyD, Chief Strategy Officer of Well Being Trust, will join Michelle P. Durham, M.D. and Chantay D. Jett, M.A., to testify before the U. S. Senate Committee on Finance. Dr. Miller will provide testimony about America’s broken mental health system, the mental health impact of COVID-19, and the importance of addressing unmet needs for mental health and addiction services.
Additionally, Dr. Miller will provide testimony about solutions to the current crisis – like integrating mental health services into primary care settings and scaling up community-based models of care that enable and empower individuals in communities to learn how to respond to mental health and addiction – and provide concrete recommendations on how to put those solutions in place.
