Providence’s Well Being Trust CEO Dr. Arpan Waghray and Jacquelyn Bombard, AVP, Federal Relations, Providence, met with Rep. Adam Smith and several other leaders from Congress in September in Washington, D.C., to discuss solutions to tackle our nation’s mental health crisis.
“We know that we can’t solve these issues alone and it’s going to take a collaborative effort from local, state, and national leaders to develop comprehensive strategies to address issues facing our mental health system including increasing access, expanding school-based mental health services, strengthening mental health parity requirements, and addressing workforce shortage,” Dr. Waghray said.
The Providence family of organizations is a tireless advocate for health and social programs, and policies that contribute to the health and well-being of the communities we serve, and we advocate for more just and equitable health care for all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
