New Resources: Tools for integrating physical and behavioral health care no matter where patients enter the care continuum

Providence and Well Being Trust recently released three new behavioral health transformation guides. The guides were developed to help ease the way of health care leaders striving to integrate best practices in behavioral health within the Providence family of organization and beyond.
The three playbooks include:

  • The Emergency Department & Upstream Playbook – Standardizing care and improving experiences in the emergency department for patients with behavioral health and substance use issues.
  • Inpatient Opioid Use Disorder Clinical Pathway Playbook – Ensuring patients with opioid use disorders receive safe, effective and compassionate care during hospital stays.
  • Zero Suicide Toolkit – Providing an evidence-based, suicide care pathway to ensure patients who are experiencing suicidal thoughts receive highly reliable care, no matter the care setting.

Offered within are resources, tools and insights developed by clinical and administrative experts across Providence, designed to equip clinical teams and change agents to accelerate improvement in care for patients with mental health and substance use concerns.
