Alex Sokoll

Senior Communications Specialist, Providence

Alex Sokoll has spent much of his career in health communications, and that continues with his role as Senior Communication Specialist at Providence. Hailing from Metro Detroit, Alex earned his degree in Integrative Public Relations from Central Michigan University before relocating to Seattle, where he’s currently based. 

Prior to joining Providence, Alex has led communications and marketing efforts at UW Medicine, Bellevue College and the Washington State Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. His biggest passion is storytelling and using real world experiences to enhance health outcomes, processes and equity. Alex also holds a deep, personal passion for mental health and the efforts to destigmatize it, particularly for youth and in sports.

When not working, Alex is typically hiking and camping, exercising or making the rounds at Seattle open mics and shows as a keyboardist. He’s also on an endless mission to find a gyro in Seattle as good as the ones in Greektown Detroit.
